Based on the request of some of our savvy client companies, we created an additional option to our standard “Pre-employment physical. In cooperation with Living Well, PC, we have created a Pre-employment / Post Offer Physical Abilities Test. For the right company, the Physical Abilities Test, or P.A.T., can save a company thousands of dollars by reducing the risk of a Worker’s Compensation claim, documenting any pre-existing physical problems, reducing employee turnover by ensuring the prospective worker can perform the job. In addition, employee morale is often boosted since the PAT demonstrates that the employer cares enough to pay for a physical. One of our recent client companies receiving this service also stated the additional benefit of time savings by having all services performed under one roof rather than having to make multiple appointments at different locations. The test was designed with cooperation with one of our clients, while other versions of the same test, are used by many large national employers. A customized test is developed in the following manner: 1) discussion regarding history of employee injuries to determine if this would be cost effective for the client company. 2) Complimentary review of job description and typically a complimentary on-site job visit to take measurements for test design and development based on the essential job functions of the position. If we determine that we can save your company financially and reduce risk of injury, we are more than happy to offer this type of service to your company. Additionally, if you wish, we can custom tailor a “pre-employment” package specifically to your companies needs. |
